2009 perspex, artificial liquids H250cm W140cm D180cm

Sours 2009 is an installation made from three Perspex trays hung from the Gallery ceiling.  The trays are filled with liquids (an alcoholic drink, a cleaning detergent and a construction chemical).  The work focuses on the artificial nature of the Liquids.  This Heightened Colour chart gives the illusion of being made from coloured Plexiglas but on close inspection the viewer discovers the pigment is a reactive material that smells and moves.  The Aroma given off by the work provides potential for a rupture within the Gallery through its invasive ability to infect and be infected.
