I have been making Sculpture and Installation in London since 2005.  The City provides a backdrop to the work I have made during this period.

My works create a space through sampling from mass media and architecture. This is part of an ongoing project that explores the intensified aesthetic that defines contemporary commercial structures.  The aim is to utilise the visual energy saturating media and urbanity to create an extreme retinal model.  Therefore recent works have been focused upon recreating light to give the viewer a visual sensation that is abstract yet familiar.

A key concern in my practice has been to strip away narrative and to engage the gallery space.  In the last two years I have sought to achieve a Formal lightness in the works that implies a modular nature.  I attempt to create open structures that challenge the viewers to assemble themselves in relation to the work.  Grids of Colour and Light have been repeated motifs, following a desire to pattern the content I display.  This strips narrative and creates a binary relief of the conditions outside the gallery. 2009
